Got the last two sets uploaded – Ozma and Ame-Comi Wonder Woman!
Really happy with how Ozma turned out. I really like how the new fluffy Anna Valerious wig looks with this costume, as opposed to the flatter, straighter wig I always used for it.
And… the wand. As I mentioned in an earlier post, my Ozma wand was missing, and I knew where-ever it was, it was broken on top of that. I was prepared to fix it, but I couldn’t find it anywhere. Friday night, the night before the shoot, I ran out to Michael’s and Home Depot, grabbed some random stuff and cobbled together a new staff. Fun stuff: the top of the staff lights up but you couldn’t tell in any of the photos. I found a green metallic rub-n-buff knock-off that I used on the base and I REALLY like how that turned out.
It’s far from perfect but at least I had a prop to pose with, it didn’t feel right not to have some kind of wand or staff or something with this costume. I’m hoping in the future to use this as a base to upgrade it to something closer to what she carries int he books, because I’d really love to wear this again sometime soon. I still love it!
Ame-Comi Wonder Woman was a pain in the butt. Trying to remember how to put everything on, the straps didn’t fit like they used to, and wig/tiara set up gave me fits. Never did find the end of the sword, either. In between every shot I was trying to keep my tiara on, the tape was not holding what-so-ever, and the veeeeery last photo we took that day is my tiara literally falling off my face. At that point I said, ok we’re done I don’t care what we got but I’m taking this off!
Luckily the photos we did get I like very much. Glad to mark another one off the list. Now I need to repair my Kingdom Come Wonder Woman harness and shoot that one.
